By Rico, 10:10 am Tue Dec 18 2007 - Analysis - 5 Opinions

According to Omniture, a web analytics company, Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 continues to be the most used browser, as of December 2007. Over three quarters of the surfers tracked by Omniture use Internet Explorer, according to the figures. The data comes from viewership statistics generated Omniture’s clients, which include companies such as Microsoft, HP, Toyota, Ford, Warner Music, Forbes, and CNET. Nevertheless, it can be argued that despite this Omniture still lacks a comprehensive picture of Internet usage.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0: 43.9%
Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0: 37.5%
Mozilla Firefox 2.0: 12.2%
Safari 2.0.4: 1.8%
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 (AOL): 0.7%
